After a long season of holiday meals, festive parties, seemingly endless dessert plates and decadent cocktails, we’re all feeling that our pants are a little tighter and we’re ready to get back to our normal routines. That’s where these Washington, D.C. health-conscious eateries can help.
This January, head to these clean-eating restaurants that are only a hop, skip and a jump away from your RESA apartment – although we wouldn’t mind a little stroll through the city to cut a few more calories either!
Elizabeth’s Gone Raw, located at 1341 L St NW Suite 1, Washington, D.C. which is a quick and simple 12-minute journey from home, features raw-vegan dishes and organic wine pairings in an elegant Federalist townhouse.
Three nights per week, Elizabeth’s Gone Raw opens its doors and the gorgeous venue is transformed into a fine-dining establishment offering a six-course vegan tasting menu. It began in 2009 as an expression and experiment by founder and owner Elizabeth Petty. During her diagnosis with breast cancer, she was introduced to plant-based foods as an access to better health, vitality and peace of mind. It was only natural to use her expertise and reputation in the food industry to share her newfound passion.
Fruitive, located at 1094 Palmer Alley NW, Washington, D.C. which is only a nine minute drive from your RESA apartment ensuring you’ll be the first in line, is a juice bar serving plant-based light fare in a fashionable, modern space.
All Fruitive items are comprised of plant-based ingredients such as fruits, veggies, whole grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, herbs and spices. Plus, they’re made from scratch using organic, in-house ingredients.
