In just a few days, love will be in the air in Washington, D.C. when we celebrate Valentine’s Day on Feb. 14 with chocolates, flowers and maybe even a stuffed teddy bear. However, no matter how you choose to celebrate your special someone, one thing is for certain – you’re going to need a romantic meal to go with the holiday.
That isn’t hard to find near our RESA apartments, as we’re surrounded by romantic restaurants that bring the love 365 days a year – and especially on Valentine’s Day. Don’t wait to make your restaurants at these romantic spots!
Masseria, located at 1340 4th St NE, Washington, D.C. which is just a quick five-minute journey from your RESA apartment, is Nicholas Stefanelli’s Puglian-inspired prix fixe restaurant with fare served in an Italian country–chic setting.
Masseria is a celebration of the big, harmonious Italian flavors that shaped Chef Nicholas Stefanelli’s palate as a child. The name itself is a heartfelt tribute to the sun-dappled, walled agricultural estates that dot the Puglia region where his heritage is rooted, and the honest coastal cuisine of the breadbasket of Italy.
The Dabney, located at 122 Blagden Alley NW, Washington, D.C. which will take you 10 minutes to get to by car, is Chef Jeremiah Langhorne Mid-Atlantic restaurant featuring rustic decor in a former row house.
The Dabney’s menu highlights seasonal ingredients from local farmers, watermen and purveyors. The current menu is a six-course tasting menu with additional wine pairings available. They developed their menu to reflect the soul of the region with every ingredient representing the history of the area we call home.
