Near our apartments in Washington, D.C., we have much more than our share of restaurants and stores – we also have several farms within a short drive where we can get in the autumn spirit for the day and find that perfect pumpkin. Check out these pumpkin patches near RESA for a fun fall day in the DC countryside!
Montpelier Farms, located at 1720 Crain Hwy, Upper Marlboro, MD which is about 30 minutes from RESA, has been offering a corn maze, pumpkin patch and hayrides since they opened in 2008. Plus, each year, additions, renovations and updates have been made to keep up with the growing crowds.
Outside of their fall festivities, they are a real working farm! Whether they’re growing and baling straw and hay, planting corn, beans and pumpkins, producing their own vegetables or even making improvements to the land, they are working year-round at Montpelier Farms.
Queen Anne Farm, located at 18102 Central Ave, Bowie, MD which is about 30 minutes from RESA, is known for their radiant fall countryside that includes a tractor-pulled haywagon and pumpkin patch as well as colorful mums.
Whichever pumpkin you’re looking for, their pumpkin patch lets you enjoy nature at its finest while you explore seven varieties of the big orange pumpkins, as well as six different varieties of heirloom pumpkins.
