It’s that time of year again… pumpkin is everywhere, and that includes in our beers! If you want to get your own taste of fall beers, whether they are infused with pumpkin and apple or just have that distinctive Oktoberfest taste, you can check out these breweries located near RESA.
Luckily, here in Washington D.C., beer lovers don’t have to venture too far to get a taste of craft beer that’s made onsite and is ready to drink fresh from the taproom. This is a great way to get of taste of autumn without heading to the pumpkin patch!
Bluejacket, located at 300 Tingey St SE, Washington, DC which is about 15 minutes from RESA is a microbrewery and restaurant serving craft beers and American eats in century-old former factory.
The restaurant and bar features a constantly rotating selection of twenty Bluejacket beers and five Bluejacket cask ales, all poured at the appropriate temperature, and most available only on-site. Soon, the brewery will begin shipping beer to carefully selected restaurants, bars and retail outlets throughout the region.
Atlas Brew Works, located at 2052 West Virginia Ave NE #102, Washington, DC, only a five minute Uber ride from RESA, is a simple brewery producing several craft beers that also offers tastings and sells growlers.
Run by CEO Justin Cox who always dreamed of owning his own brewery, Atlas Brew Works produces hand crafted artisanal beer in 20 barrel batches. Visitors can also stop in their facility for a tasting, tour, growler to go, or just to say hi.[JK3]
Red Bear Brewing – Need another option that’s even closer to home? We’ve got one you can’t beat, as they’re practically our neighbor! Red Bear Brewing is a five minute stroll down M Street, and this local brewery isn’t just a great option because of their proximity. While you’ll definitely find a seasonal IPA on draft you’re sure to enjoy, for those of us looking for even more fall vibes, try one of their delicious ciders or meads!
